Hi All,

Sure its been asked before although haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

What are the costs associated? I though I had seen mentioned that the costs were around £300 fitted.. just called my local OPC and they quoted me over £600!

Still waiting for a few to come back to me on it but was wondering if anyone else has had one installed and for how much?

It was £380 including vat+fitting in an email from opc bournemouth last month - i was tempted but haven't got around to doing anything about it yet

My OPC just fitted one to my Spyder for £380.

I think the part (for mine) was £217 + vat, plus fitting.
I also *think* it was a June special offer, but they honoured it into July.

I can't comment for the 987 but on a 986 the Porsche Tequipment one feels almost identical to the aftermarket cheap ebay aluminium B&M copy one. I have driven both of these back to back. The cheap ones are decent quality and start from £25.

I paid full list which was £450 when I had it done

so £600 seems a tad expensive.

worth it though 100% at the right price.

If it's the same part number as the 997 which it likely will be, it's an easy swap & the part from OPC should be around £260 all in.

Makes you wonder why people buy 911's when all the parts are the same. They must cost the same to build also ;-)

on an informative & positive note, these shifters are relatively easy to change out DIY style, they even come with the green self centering tool as seen in the above pic. removing & refitting the center console is the only chore but its really straight forward.
