I have seen this car at some club events and I thought it looked good then - I was after a yellow 993 but could never find one. Looks really nice car. Good mileage and price just a couple of K over where I think it should be - I have a 993 Targa with 65k miles.

Have a good look at the roof mechanism. Mine went at 60k as did a friends and it can be bloody expensive!

I went to see it last march. They were selling it SOR for a friend of the owner. They did not know much about the car or 993s and there were big gaps in the paperwork which they said they would chase up. The main problem for me though was signs of rot under the very glossy exterior ie normal windscreen sills but also areas such as under rear quarter rubbers.

I got the impression it had been stored indoors but somewhere very damp ? When I raised this with them they were not really interested / did not know what to say.

Body kit is personal taste looks ok from some angles but not really for me in the flesh. The yellow and black interior was nice though.

They have dropped the price and min it would be worth what they are asking IF warranty offered that's worth the paper it's written on AND you got a full in dependant PPI done first.

I did not bother taking it for a test drive though which says it all.

Paying dealer prices I would rather buy from a specialised who knows 993s

Ps also there was an aweful old radar detector beeping away when you start it up.

A neighbour of my parents' owned a yellow Tip Targa with the aero kit for several years (from new), there can't be too many of them around with this exact spec. It lived in West London. If it's the same one, all I can say is that it seemed very well taken care of at the time.
