Porsche event POOLE QUAY friday 19th july

Hi all, who's heading up to the porsche event on friday? whats the turn out like? weather looks promising too. If anybody is going up and past pompey im leaving about 16:30.

I'll be there in my C4S. Only coming from local though so not much of a run there. My first day as a civilian after 25 years doing that Army game!

Be a nice evening to enjoy civi life. Ill be in silver 996 M9BKC say hi if you see the car. Been told if you want your car on the quay front you need to be there by 6pm.

I'll be heading up in either the Targa or the old mans Panamera, not sure what time we're planning to leave though.

I quite fancy this, but its heck of a trip from Worcs/North Glos. It would have been a nice spin out for the 993, but I'm guessing it would be over before I got there. :-(

Any idea what opening and finishing times are?

Gates open at 6:30 pm from what I'm told, if you want your car on the quay you need to be there a little earlier.

Quay opens at 6pm until 9pm. No cars are permitted onto the quay before 6pm. If you arrive arrive early you will be directed away and end up doing laps of Poole. Total number of cars restricted to 120 but in all past years the July event has not been over subscribed. See you there.

Enjoyed that - good way to spend the evening in the sunshine.

Was quite busy - we arrived a couple of minutes after 6 and the main quay area by the pubs was already full.

Same got down on the front in front of tescos express about 10 minutes of gates opening. Weather was good too.

Good night was had. I think i commented on last event that were very few 991's and i didnt see any last night. Are owners too posh to come? lol.
Saw nice 997 GT3RS and a local to me very dark blue X50 996T for sale. I saw him during the day polishing it!
Funniest thing was a owner of a 981 Boxster constantly cleaning it as people were looking over the car. Unless your taking part in some concurs event, its a bit of metal dont worry about it.

Think I was parked very close to you! Mine was the white 997 GT3 in front of tescos express.

I just picked up on this I can not believe I forgot all about it as I only live 10 miles away.
Please post some photos so I can be even more annoyed with myself for missing out.
