I'm coming back from the Bookatrack event at the Nurburgring on Friday 2nd August.

Departing circa 1.30pm; what time can I expect to make Calais tunnel?

Thx

Did Rheinbach (which is 30 mins north of the Nordschleife)>Calais centre in slightly under 4 hours taking it reasonably gently last Saturday. (In my 500)

Thanks

I've done the journey a few times but never Friday pm, I'm just concerned about getting round Bruxelles.

Brussels ring can be hell on a Fri, I'd go Lille way, not devoid of traffic, but usually less than Brussels & I'd not go via Antwerp either on a Fri.

We usually leave Nurburg around 10am for a 6pm ferry.

If we stick to about 20km above the limit (where traffic allows) it's 4.5 to 5 hours. Add in stops for lunch & toilet breaks then we get there about 4:30pm.

As has been mentioned, Brussels 'orbital' can be a 10 minute trip or a 2 hour jam.

Have even avoided Brussels completely and gone as far north as Antwerp or south to Mons & Lille. All 3 routes seem to take about the same time if there's no traffic jams/roadworks.
