Hi.
Have been receiving this message on my dash for the past few days. The car still feels (& drives) the same.
Not under warranty. Is it worth getting checked up by AM? or should i invest in an OBDII diagnostics scanner and just reset?
You feedback on this subject (as always) is much appreciated.

Thanks

R

I had the same recently.

It disappeared after I gave the car a good outing ( a 45 minute run with plenty of accelerator).

Buy an OBD II and see what error comes up.

I bought mine off Amazon :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/CAN-Bus-Trouble-Diagnose-D...

Have used it on both my old Vantage Coupe and my current Vantage Roadster and each error has been a 'warning O2 sensor circuit slow' and I have just made a note of the 'bank affected' and reset.

Spoke to AM Service Department and they said these warning errors are ok and can just be reset.

Seem to happen every few months or so. Sometimes the errors clear themselves the next time I start the car, other times i just reset - but I do make a note of the offending number each time.

Cheers,
Nick

After being present for about 4 weeks I got to some friends who live about 5 miles from NP Works Service, stayed the night there and it had cleared itself next day! Didn't bother getting it checked after. Figured it would come back if it really meant it... which it hasn't.

as above - just get your own reader. Useful for any modern vehicle and can save you a fortune of £80-100 charges by dealers to "diagnose" i.e. plug in and read a code wink

I think in Pete's case it was his emissions system that required servicing biggrin

Thanks guys, Its been over a week now and the message is still on. i have given the car a few thrashings in the time and still has not gone off..
i will invest in the OBD II unit. seems like that has been suggested by all.

What are the codes that i am likely to get? and how will i know if they are serious or not?
The message that Nick mentioned 'warning O2 sensor circuit slow'. I presume that this is a common one that just needs resetting?

Thanks again.

In my experience it won't go away until you use the ODB II reader to clear the code.

I had this on my 06 Vantage only a few weeks ago. Searched the forums and it sounded like if I gave the car a good run with throttle it would go, or after about a dozen outings it would sort itself out. It went off intermittently but always came back on soon after. Took it to HWM Aston Martin, turned out it was a faulty O2 sensor, £150 replaced and fitted. No problems since.

I had this warning on my 06 for a few weeks now, permanently. Car doesn't feel or drive any different than usual.
I had the car serviced in May and one of the cats was on its way out, so suspect that could be the cause for my warning light.

As everyone has said, ignore it.

Mine came on after my driving changed from long haul to short starts and stops. Its gone again now (about 6 drives) and not reappeared smile
