RRS door trim rattling

I have a RRS 2007 and I've noticed the "black piano" bit of horizontal trim (where the internal door handle is on the drivers door) is suddenly rattling.

Do I need to prise it off or slide it out and what might I expect to find?

Pass but you might be able to find the workshop manuals on-line in .PDF form. They should show you what to expect. Failing that, you'll be able to get the manuals on TOPIX (LR Owners Manuals web-site).

However, if you're just hearing a rattle, rather than seeing something move about, it might be the external trim. Just check to see if the lower trim on the door hasn't come loose.
