Mobility scooters

I've got 2!
The thing to do is ask yourselves what your Wife really wants to do as no scooter I've come across does it all.
There are 2 basic types, the smaller 4 mph ones and the larger 8 mph ones.
Both mine are 4mph ones.
I've got a luggie which is very small and light, folds down and you can easily put it in the car on your own. It's great on flat and even surfaces but that's the extent of its abilities.
I've also got a 5 wheel twingo air which is very stable, has surprising off road abilities and also breaks down to go in the car. However, even in bits, it's a lot heavier.
These are both. 4mph scooters and I've taken both on planes, at no cost and no trouble. Only the luggie will go on a train though.
The big ones you see are the 8mph ones but their size is both their strength and weakness.
Ask advice and don't rush in.
Incidentally I wouldn't buy 2nd hand personally as you dont know how the battery's have been cared for or how old they are as they can be very expensive to replace.
