Growl and BBWF (Wedges) combined event??

What are your thoughts?
Numbers are dwindling on both sides and of any TVR the Wedges are the best match with the Griffs. I've been to most of the BBWF's and all Growls so maybe have the best perspective on this.
Nothing guaranteed but just want to throw this around to comments.

Yep.
I have a real admiration for the Wedge guys and their enthusiasm for their cars and their Roofs Off at all cost attitude.
We Griff owners seem to have a natural affinity with them - even parts suppliers have told me Griff and wedge owners tinker with their cars more than most.

One possible benefit, as there would be a much bigger attendance, would probably be easier to get more traders to come back/attend, as they would hopefully be able to justify their costs etc.

I think we would bring at least 10 cars with 20 crazy Dutchmen if the combined event would take place. In that case i think we are all used to Ettington Chase, it is central, there is a lot "allowed" from the hotel (we have been putting rubber smileys and 11's (long ones) on the tarmac all weekend and heard nothing about it) and the Growlers and the BBWF'ers are the only two "one-type" groups who are used to having a nice meeting in Ettington Chase.

We would love it.

Good idea about the Tug o' war, should be funny. But shouldn't we also make a Dutch team (and appearance) again???

+1 I think thats a great idea... as said abouve.. all V's so could get more traders there and increase the numbers etc...

Paul, a great idea. I too really like the wedge guys and their cars, would make a super event and as another poster said encourage more traders. It gets my vote. Regards, Pete

I think its a great idea. More suspects to force feed fizzy wine and make them in to Crazy Alcoholics . The more the Merrier , and it would be great to have a good look round those great Wedges .

...I know someone who has a griff engined wedge and i call it the "Gredge" so what about a "Gredgefest"....Simples...Maybe hold it every couple of years to avoid killing off the BBWF or the growl....Im sure between us we can support the bar till the sun comes up..
