Just back from seeing Madness - Sandown Park
Discussion
Filling a gap in my live experiences and very polished they were despite the muddy sound. BUT....I'd never been to a race meeting with follow-on band before and I shan't go to one again. Huge numbers of 'punters'yacking during the performance led to a white noise effect during quieter passages. Drunk women insisting on doing the hideous 'Sailing' wave and clapping out of time. Now I'm 58 and it's mostly 40-somethings that seemed to be the main pain. Is this becoming common elsewhere. I remember about 3 years ago being aghast at an EC Albert Hall gig that one small section of (mostly) middle aged women were reacting more like I'd have expected a Cliff Richards audience.
I'm not sure this democracy thing is worth persevering with!!
