Sky TV Cables question
Discussion
I am having Sky installed in our master bedroom upstairs and Sky say I can prepare the cabling for them so my builder/decorator chap doesn't have to repaint after their visit.
What cables, cables and sockets do I need for Sky+HD..??
Is WF100 cabling what I need..?? http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/cable.htm
Thanks for your help guys !

WF100 is the best, you'll need two cables run back to the dish. Terminate in a single gang back-box and then fit a twin F connector face plate. Or you could use the WF65 shotgun cable, that's what Sky use as it's easier to instal and less money.
What about a TV aerial point?
And don't forget a power socket for the Tv and Skybox.
Also whilst you're at it maybe run in a couple of CAT5e cable for data/phone so you can plug your Skybox in.

I assume you already have Sky and just getting an additional location.
As stated earlier two cables are required for Sky+HD. For best results they should have a single unbroken run between Sky box and satellite dish. Rather than have a wall socket I modified a blank faceplate with holes for the cables to come through.
You only need to have an aerial socket if: a) there is an aerial at the other end and b) you intend to watch Freeview. It may be useful for "future proofing" if you ditch Sky and go Freesat/Freeview. BT Vision uses Freeview and internet. I currently have a Freesat/Freeview system as both tuners are built into the TV.
