Hey guys, anyone have a rough idea of how much a new set of discs and pads for an ML63 (62 plate) would be? Light's just come on the dash at 12,000 miles and I've been told that "because the ML is so heavy" you may have to replace the discs and pads around this time (between 13-30k he said).

Does that sound right? Pads yes, discs sounds wrong though? Any idea on the cost or what I should be aiming for? Also due it's first service so will all be done around same time.

i dont think it will need discs, unless you've been thrashing it around a track, pads should be about £200.1st service should be about the same.

You should get 2 sets of pads to a pair of discs in my experience.

Having new front pads fitted to my E63 tomorrow at MB - costing £360 all in.

Would be suprised if your discs were shot after 12k miles unless your very hard on the car - I had read that the AMG discs are pretty hard wearing and mine seem to (thankfully) be supporting that theory.
