I just managed to slam my little toe into into a table leg with some reasonable force. After swearing profusely, my first thought is that it seems to be pointing the wrong direction!

The other small toe points inwards, this one is now pointing out wards. I assume I've broken the bloody thing, I've bent it back in the right direction with some tape and stuck it together. Assume that's all that's to be done?

Ah, now it's starting to throb. Lots.

Probably caused a plantar plate tear or slightly subluxed the joint.

Be prepared for it to turn all manner of funky colours as it bruises up (might not though). Nowt you can do other than tape it back in position really.

If it doesn't improve or starts getting worse then you might have broken the metatarsal - go to a walk in centre if you think this has happened.

Doesn't seem quite as painful today, and so no dis-colourisation yet. Pain is around the joint, but its walkable. I'll just keep buddy taping it.

thanks

If it's broken it'll colour up a treat yes

Yep, just went purple! Probably shouldn't have walked around it.
