Edinburgh speed traps
Discussion
2 this morning - one tucked up on the on ramp onto the bypass at Lothianburn and one on the A8 coming away from airport.
Not sure if it's the start of a campaign or just welcoming tourists for the Open.
I know it's a cliche, but this was at 4.45am on deserted roads, with the sun out. Is that useful...?

I spotted a Marked X5 last week pointing away from traffic hiding up a the dreghorn slip road as if you're heading towards the Hillhead turn off.

Funnily enough the burnt out speed camera at gladsmuir on the A1 has just been replaced 4 days before the open starts. Call me cynical but it's been burnt out for months!

Noticed that the other day, also someone had left a carton of milk on top of ital

Lothianburn jcn, one further on from Dreghorn, heading South, where intersects to A702. Same car I think - hiding up the slip road off the roundabout so it wouldn't be seen but could join south bound bypass quickly after clocking someone. Looked like one guy was hanging out of the car with the speed gun when I saw then. (I was coming out of Edinburgh and using the roundabout on 702 to access bypass in other direction towards airport.)
I'm quite often 'rushing' to catch a plane in early mornings - sounds like it might be worth getting up earlier for next wee while!
