BBWF..The good bits...
Discussion
Hi Peeps...I actually feel very sad at the response that this years BBWF has generated...Yes for some it was not up to their expectations and felt it was a wasted journey..So although being a very small part in organising i say "SORRY"...Its also partly my fault there was no Auto-valet..Apparently the washer pump was broken but i could of rang Karl who came the two previous times and he would of sorted it out if i had remembered to take his number..So "SORRY" again..I hope a resolution can be found to avoid all this from happening again although sometimes we have no control over the outcome..All we can do is set the wheels in motion..I dont know what the solution is but hopefully with your help we can find it..Maybe take a look at previous fests to see if we can re-kindle some of its fire..I dont know...
But i must sincerely thank all of those who made it possible..And i thank all of you who came along whether it be for the weekend or just for an hour...I thank the dutch for making me laugh..Even now when i think about it...I thank Elvis for reminding me of my childhood..No im not that old..My mum used to play elvis all the time when we were kids..I thank the whitehorse inn for letting us hold a BBQ there which everyone enjoyed...I thank the Guys that provided the saturday night buffet and the DJ..I even caught Oliver dancing..Bless him..He too deserves a big thank you for designing our cars because without him we would have nothing to celebrate..I thank the hotel for putting up with us and for putting us up...And i thank god..(If there is one) that we had some of the best weather ever..
Now we all know my relationship/friendship with Andy has been a path of broken glass but i have not held any grudges towards him over anything he has said..yes i have lost my marbles a couple of times and thrown my toys out of the pram but i have picked them back up and got on with it..The only people i hate in this world are those who hurt children and animals!..Make of this what you will but Andy was the only one out of all of us who could be bothered to step up and organise the last three BBWF's and he must feel like s
t right now due to all the negativity.."Poor bastid"..So i for one would like to say a big "THANK YOU" for a fantastic weekend..I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it...Cheers...Ziga

It strikes me though that this is even simpler
Those that turned up expecting to be entertained for a few hours
may have been disappointed, whilst those that came along and stayed longer
(overnight - and not just to show they can afford it!!!) all had a fantastic time
Is there anyone yet who stopped overnight and didn't enjoy themselves?
I don't think so

Well i enjoeyed BBWF13 no end, and i didn't even stop the night!
The best thing about BBWF's i have found is it that they are the most friendly of shows, so what if there wasn't a lot going on, i just strolled between cars chatting to their enthusiastic owners. I got chance to catch up with friends i made last year and i made a few more this time. All this was because somebody got off their butt and did a lot of organising, these people are few and far between and we need to encourage and help them not winge and complain when things don't go to plan.
So a massive thank you to Mr Tank and et al. Without your efforts non of this would have happened.
Now can i ask who amongst the winge'ers is going to step up to the plate and organise next year ?

Put it this way - I remember the first couple of BBWF's I attended and found them a little (only slightly) "cliquey" with a bunch of mates who already knew each other running it. But I stuck with it and after a couple of years got to know everyone (my bad memory for names doesn't help!!)
I can imagine for a newbie it can be a bit daunting like it was for me but you've just gotta put yourself out there.
If in doubt - ask for me after your fourth tour of the car park....

I agree with you all. When a person goes out of their way to organise an event then he should be applauded. What happens during the event gets mended and the show carries on. It is upto the individual to help make it a success and if they have any constructive criticism they should voice it in order that something can be done about it.
Some say"All events are good only some are better than others".
