As always Craig you are a star sir.

All I need to do now is work out how to drop the drag CD down on my car to break the 170 mark, maybe its a DeR style wingmirror and wiper removal day this time

I hope that you CAN remove the wipers mr_tony - guess that'll depend on the weather. Unsighted at 170 mph sounds like a bad idea...

The damn things don't work over 130mph anyway...

mine don't work over 80mph so if it's raining I plan to use rain-X which might be interesting...

Any news on the itinerary Craig? What time do we need to get there?

What time is the drivers briefing?

Or have I just auto-archived all this information?

Craig,

Meant to call you and speak about this.

Several people have mentioned a "group shot" near where we had lunch that one time near the 747. If we are to have lunch there this time can we arrange the group shot then, if not is there any chance we can do it just after the familiarity lap for the drivers?

It won't take long to get everyone sorted, if we are doing that first thing I'll go there and get ready to set the drivers up.

Well, I thought if we got everyone together and had the cars parked in one or two crescents then the photo was set up for those who wanted to take it.

It might be better if we could lunch there (Craig?) then we could get everyone parked up and then people would be free to photo the cars during the lunch break.
The only downside of that I can think of is that at lunch time a number shoot off for petrol.

Taking of petrol, the Texaco garage we gassed up at last time doesn't do super unleaded anymore IIRC from when I went to the Brunters ASDA charity day a while after the last v-max.

I believe there is a Optimax garage nearby though?

Yes, theres an Esso too (opposite one of the junctions?). Dunno if that sells super? It did last time.

Out of Bruntingthorpe airfield. At the road turn left towards Bruntingthorpe village. As you enter the village turn left down a lane/road. Further along turn right towards the village of "Peatling Parva". Keep on following this road for about 10 minutes, through villages across junctions etc. Eventually you'll arrive at a T junction. Turn left and the Optimax garage is on your right. About a 30/35 minute round trip including filling up.
