looks like the before shots. . .not the after !
I have only done a small amount of polishing and i am sure others will advise you with more noteworthy experience and suggestions. But i reckon i could do better..
I was machine polishing my Lupo last night and was amazed how many scratches i appear to have removed, and as i say i am new to this.

Ive never had it done before but the fella told me it would remove allot of the swirls and fine scraches and make it look ready for sale, to me it looks as bad or worse; you can only tell they have touched it from sponge streaks still left on it and smudges of some sort of polish.

I've had a few cars machine polished, one of which started far worse than yours, and I must say that you seem to have been ripped-off! frown

All of the cars I've had done ended up (pretty much) as new and glass-like! I'd take it back and demand the job is done properly or my money back!

if you were local to me i would offer to show what i have acheived, i had some age related scrathes on my Lupo bonnet (it has done 155,000 miles)and after an hour with the rotary polisher got rid of all of them. . .i do take the view that if i can do it anyone can. . so maybe treat yourslef to a polisher, some compound and learn a new skill !!

If the fella did'nt do the job in the first place, what result are you expecting second time round ?

Wow. "Incredbly, excruciatingly bad" doesn't come close to describing this. An untrained baboon, given the right tools, would have done a better job.

On his first attempt.

While blindfolded.

In my opinion, anyone who can take your money and give you that result is criminally inept. They have zero - absolutely zero - understanding of what they're doing.

Definitely not a wing up fella, will take some photos after Monday and post them here; i am no expert on this sort of thing but the explanation was something like they used g10 compound and needed g30 ??? if that makes sense?

I think you're right, looks like the bloke forgot to do it, just washed it and gave it back!

fk me, I could do a better job with a Brillo Pad yes

I assume he's aware he's actually not touched the car?

As others have posted, I can't see they've actually done anything bar wipe over it with a dirty sponge.

I know this was a full detail but my pics on the link below show what it should look like after a machine polish.

You say they're coming back Monday to 'give it another go' but they shouldn't need to. I'd establish with them what you're expecting results wise before you let them touch it again & look round it afterwards to make sure you're satisfied before coughing up any payment.

There back and working on it now, took him round the car and he agreed a very poor job had been done so its not the same fella by the sounds of it.
Hopefully some decent pics to come later.

Surely you would know if it was the same guy?
