As the title suggests, what does it take to re-align the glovebox lid? Anybody done a pictorial walk through of how much dismantling it takes to actually get to the other end of the hinge?

Haven't got any pics, but it's a pretty simple job (if a little fiddly). Flipping the spring does make it shut better, but mine's still wonky. Still, it doesn't pop up on bumpy roads now.

This is the fix if ithe lid is bent out of shape beyond what reversing the springs can achieve:

Best option for me while retrim was a new fibreglass one from Power, fits was far better the OE banana and has remained that way for over a year now.
