check out vintage and prestige extra photo,s.on close examination of reg cert make tvr model blank.1st reg1/6/1995 when did they stop making 400,s.when tele for ins cover coming up at dvla as chimaera,something smells fishy?any owner out there that can shed some light the car looks good and yes has 500 front.

When you break down the vin code it does indeed look like it was made as a 4 litre car from the outset. I wasn't unknown for TVR to do things like this as a special order request so it could well be genuine. In '95 they might not have had a type approval any longer for a 4 litre griff which could account for why they left the model name off the log book and why dvla assumes it must be a Chimaera?

My 98 4.5 Cerbera is down as a 4.2 on the V5 but even the initial inspection before it was sold by TVR states 4.5; thats exactly what it is. I think they did all manor of things so I wouldn't worry too much.

I know the last owner of this car. Very well looked after and it was a special build from the factory. It has loads spent on it and has always been kept in tip top condition with no expense spared.

It also sounds fantastic on the move.
