Cayman squeaky window

My 10 CS has in the past week developed a squeaking on the drivers window when it lowers the half inch or so to allow the door to open. It doesn't do it when it goes back up. What do I need to do to solve it?

Does the window squeak when you lower it all the way down with the button?

i have the say problem in my 997. Tried cleaning the rubber, no luck.

The cause as I understand it is not the rubber is dirty, or even the glass (but keep the glass clean and this means the portion of the glass than contacts the sealing rubber) but the felt that is against the glass where it emerges from the door is dry. Something that lubes this without streaking the glass is called for. I was told to use some liquid dish soap (Ivory IIRC) just putting a tiny amount on the felt. I have not done this yet having no real time to mess with the car. One of these days when I get some spare time...

Just squeaks for the first half inch or so and then it operates fine, down and up
