Friday morning had a few hours to kill so gave the tam a good clean.
Went to start her afterwards and running very rough, won't idle and popping and banging through
air box. Thought I might of flooded the engine so took for a run and the engine appeared to clear and was fine.

Went to go for a drive this morning and again it won't idle, running very rough popping banging etc... Gave up and car back in garage.

Whilst it might be coincidence, I'm wondering if water might have got into the electrics? Anyone got any pointers on what to check?

Thanks

Matt

Check Coil Pack? Sounds similar to an issue with mine, replaced, job done smile

Did you use a hose pipe, it might be an idea to take off ECU and see if any water on the connections, clean it up and reconnect that will reset to factory settings, fingers crossed that might work but it does sound like water somewhere

+1 for water somewhere where it shouldn't be. Washed mine once with a jetwash redcard problems with not being able to turn the engine off, had to stall it then loads of flashing lights on dash and general unruliness. Find out where the water got in and give it loads of air or even a hairdryer. Good luck!

Under airbox, mounted to engine, at back of airbox, only check after other suggestions smile sunny day, leave bonnet open, car outside, dry off smile I would check plug cover too, see if sealed properly. If not take off, check plugs e.g Moisture
