Corsa VXR and Calibra se6

Hi, I'm new to this forum just thought I'd show you my cars.

This is my daily driver corsa vxr in arden blue. I've had this since February and have done a couple if subtle things such as debadge, dewiper, wind deflectors etc...

This got traded in at work and then in mysteriously turned up outside my house needing a home. Try explaining that one to your parents.

Basically this is my very slow progress thread of my second car, as most 20 year olds will know money doesn't grow on trees (unless your sponsored by mummy and daddy) and when your looking to move out aswell certain things take a back seat. Decided to buy this thinking wheels and suspension ill have a decent looking retro car to roll round in aswell as the VXR. Anyway I stripped a few bits here and there to tidy up but the more I stripped the more I found and now looks like it'll be turning into a bit if a full on restoration. Like I said dont expect this to be fast moving with quotes of £1500 upwards for welding/ bare shell resprays it can wait a while. Most people don't even like these but I love em that's why I'm bothering haha

Few bits already stripped in this one side skirts etc. now doesn't have any lights, mirrors and next out is windows.



Trial fit of some 17 x 8's.

Photos really don't seem to do this car any justice.

Probably a fair few families living in them arches :/







Rear bench and door cards and that's interior out.



Lots of patches of rust around hence needing welding. Don't know what I expected from a 17 year old car costing £300.



Having known the owner of the car for the last 12 years I know it's been well looked after and the file of history shows it really has been no expense spared.

I've looked into tracking, engine conversions but I think it might be best kept original.

Any suggestions other then 'scrap it' let me know

I understand the Calibras not meant to be a great car but like you I think they look great. Someone in the street round from me has just bought one, white with white wheels and a little yellow badge(don't know what spec this refers to) and it looks lowered a bit, looks great. The guy used to have a Cavilier Gsi as well which looked cool. Good luck with the resto mate. Nice VXR too.

The plate on that VXR could be a real winner in the "Crap / Chav plates thread", nearly as bad as that FA57 DAD one that we had here the other day. Not really sure about the debadging either, makes the back end look a bit slabby, like a van door, and everyone will know it's a Vauxhall so it won't fool anyone. Still, I think the Corsa VXR is a better can than most people give it credit for.

An Ardern Blue Vauxhall VXR, I can't think of a car more fitting for a plate that reads 'YOB'
