Firewall, Andy Mcnab, or any of the Nick stone books he does, a personnel favourite of mine is Dark hollow by John Connelly, not spy stuff but an awesome book.

I dont read many books at all but I have read most of the Jack Reacher series. If you like Bourne you should enjoy Reacher.

I didn't find the Bourne books anything like the films or the Reacher books.

If the OP's basing a 'likelihood of liking' Bourne on the films, I'd say take care.

I read quite a lot, but for throw away action entertainment I really like the Ben Hope novels by Scott Marriani (he also does Vampire books, so make sure you get the right series!). Very Bourne-like, with a hint of Da Vinci Code in them, and a bit of Bond in there too.

Not great literature by any means, but they rattle along at a great pace and I often find myself reading 'just one more chapter'.

If you're not a regular reader and like this kind of thing, I reckon they'd be a great choice.

I seem to exclusively read historical crime fiction, love the Matthew Shardlake series by CJ Sansom.

Dan Brown is generally pretty good for easy entertainment but I'm just finishing one of his earlier books Digital Fortress and it's really disappointing me.

Are you really a proofreader?

If he is he wouldn't like the copy of the Borne Trilogy I read. Riddled with typos and other errors. Great read though. I worked as a proof reader for about a year.
