Me and my girlfriend are going on our first ever Roadtrip around Europe on Saturday. This is the route we have planned http://goo.gl/maps/4lrZE. Is there any particulary good roads we could use with out going to far off track, or any nice little towns we could route through and stop for lunch? Thanks for any advice in advanced.

Try looking up the Euro-trip write-up thread, it's stickied here. Also there's a holidays thread somewhere on the forum. I'm planning my honeymoon roadtrip now!

Its more difficult than you would think! Trying to balance getting there and going the scenic route. hehe

Briefly (after a quick glimpse but not comprehensive.. ) if you're looking for fun roads/scenery:

Shift your French route left to include the D902 in its entirety (slightly disjoined the D902, you'll need to join up the sections...) Currently you miss out the Alps and pick dull roads.

At Andermatt, you miss out the Grimsell/Susten/Furka loop which could be further expanded to include say the Nufenen and San Gottardo passes (both new and old cobbled stone versions of the Gottardo) - you might want to schedule a day here for a stop to do the route.

I'd also look to do the original San Bernadino pass that you get close to but bypass - can easily miss the turning and keep on the main road by mistake.

Since you pass near Lake Como, I'd schedule a stopover nearby so you could sightsee.

Didn't look at the later route but hope that gives you some ideas.
