Hi Jeff -
Just read your piece on your Wedge and Wedging in general. I too get that feeling of occassion when I use my car!
Just thought it might be of interest to other Wedgers how much your new engine and the additionmal work cost. A personal question perhaps; maybe a little rude, but the info might be useful to some considering some engine work.

Not sure that will help really. I put the bits done and cost down as someone was bound to ask. Some have spent more and some less. From what I have learnt, if like me you dare not touch it apart from basics, there is no figure to go by until the job is done. Some, like Ian for example, have the means and know how to do a lot of work themselves. Something I envy.
Maybe when I retire or get a decent garage I can start playing.
PS I did change the head gasket on my mini once
