Well as the title says, had a car cover thief crepe on my driveway, and stole my cover zone stormforce car cover off my merc sl....bizzare as my TVR was parked next to with same car cover but smaller...
All the other vehicles untouched..not tamperered with.
So now I will have to mark my other car covers ,security paint and make them personal...so they can be id , if happens again...
I just hope it not a local person, as I would recognise my cover, if seen..
This sought of theft is annoying, and petty..and puts you off in having nice things..
I have reported this to the police...for there stats...and spk to my local beat bobby...
So guys just a precaution, mark them up...Certainly unsightly ,but makes it unattractive to the scumbags...

Not worth the bother. The police aren’t interested as it’s just more paperwork for them and it adds to the crime stats for your area which in turn can impact on your insurance premiums. Install some security cameras and lights to put the scum bags off.

That's annoying, my S2 has a storm force cover and they're not cheap. Was it strapped down?

NCOT...Yup it was strapped down..even the connectors were underneath the car.. so you would have to be on the floor on your back to tug at the straps.
I toyed with the idea of locking system in the lug..but I guess a sharp knife would cut that...The scumbag had the intent to steal, so not opportunist.. Luckily I have still got a few more stormforce covers..so there ID marked up ...

The worst bit is explaining to the Mrs, about this, If the Police knock on the door for a statement...
Sure I faced a moral dilemma, do I report it.. or brush it under the carpet as one of those things... Sure there is a very slim chance, I might get it back..as Sometime stolen possessions, have funny way of being returned..
