Do Aston dealers do a similar thing to Mercedes / Porsche etc where they will give a vehicle a thorough check and inspection of everything to insure all is in good working order complete with a detailed report?

Btw, yes, they tend to do a 140 point check as befits a car they are about to throw a warranty at. smile

Yes. Well, they certainly charge you for it anyway wink

Terribly story on here a while back; punter paid for a dealer PPI on a Vanquish and when he got the car the whole subframe was rotted out. They 'didn't check that bit' apparently even though the car was unfit for the road. Dealer refused responsibility and the punter was left holding the baby. It's on the Bamford Rose thread at the top of the section, they sorted the car in the end.

Recommendations on here will generally be for an Aston specialist to do it.

How much does it cost? And then can a warranty be added, at which cost?

At a dealer probably around £450 and £1,400 for the warranty. A dealer won't provide the warranty unless you have the 140 point check done.
