Picture Framers in Aberdeen - where is good?

I've got quite a few large prints to get framed for the house, so can anyone recommend a good framers in or around Aberdeen for this?

I use the Rosemount Gallery.

Not sure how they compare cost-wise but very good advice on mounting options and colours.

I asked the same a wee while ago here.

On that occasion, I used the Belvidere place on Rosemount. It wasn't a good experience but I call it as being my own fault. I'd assumed having a border would have been the default way of framing a picture but apparently not so. They framed the picture (below) without border. It looks rubbish and I'd agreed to the picture being glued to the backing so not possible to re-frame without difficulty. My position is that I should have specified my expectations properly but I can't help feeling that the lassie who dealt with me might have used her experience to advise me a bit more.



I've since used " Rosie's" in Holburn Street (might be the same shop front as the old Holburn Cafe). The results were absolutely fine. It cost a wee bit more than I'd expected and took a wee bit longer but I'm more than happy with that given what they stand for and what they're about.

I've heard that there's a good place in the wee shopping centre in Cults on the North Deeside Road (behind Oddbins) but I've never been there or used it myself.

I have a notion to try Peacock Visual Arts some time given their ethos but, again, I'm unable to offer an opinion at this time.

Doesn't strike me as the sort of place you'd take your "green lady" print to.

Aye probably not, but they do deal with artists and a lot of art work. They would be able to give you more places that could do the framing I am sure.
Could possibly be missing the joke here too however...

A photographer friend of mine who sells lots of framed landscape photos uses Holburn gallery for all his framing requirements. Might not be the cheapest in town, but the quality is superb from the examples I've seen.

It's an Edwin Landseer - more famous for "Monarch of the Glen".



The dog is actually Prince Albert's greyhound "Eos".

There's another featuring the same dog which I like. It's called " Royal Diva and her Princess".



I wouldn't have this on my wall though. I like greyhounds but I'm less keen on babies.
