Need some fronts and still have the 15" wheels.
The only tyres I can find are: -
Yokohama S Drive 205/55/R15 88W
Bridgestone Potenza RE002 205/55/R15 88W

I wanted to match with the rears but can't find any Toyo's. Rears are Toyo T1R 235/50/ZR16 95W

Any recommendations for fronts to match my rears?

That's an unusual size on the rear but with that how about 225s on the front?

or of course the last tyre that the factory recommended before they shut up shop:

I wouldn't mix Bridgestone and Toyos as there were some issues with unstability Front/Rear a few years back due to the difference in hardness.

Try these:

The Dunlop is what I have on there at the moment. 205 though.
Would like to keep to the higher speed rated tyre too.

They were originally the 215/50/15 but when they became hard to get in that size and speed rating TVR fitted 205/55/15 instead; now 205/55/15 are hard to get in ... so

You'll struggle to get the higher speed rating now. Insurance companies are happy to accept the lower rating and to be honest if you have a blow out at that speed you're unlikely to be around to claim and if you are they won't be paying out if you're on public roads.

These are T1R's and that looks like a cracking price? They are 'only' V rated but lots on PH seem to have got approval from insurers to use V rated now as the higher ratings seem to have all been discontinued.

Good prices!
I'll make a few calls and see what they agree to. biggrin
Thanks for the help. TVR 15" tyres are a minefield these days.

I've got the standard size wheels on the Griff and have Toyos at front and rear - only difference is the front are V rated and the rear W (I think) the insurers have been advised and are quite OK with them - in fact there was no comment from anyone at all during the annual ring round a while ago.

My insurer, Mannings are OK with V rated front and rear, hence the new R1R's.

Have W rated Nexens rear, V rated Nexens front. No worries. Nice easy controllable ride after getting rid of old hard 11 year old Bridgestones on the front. They were lethal.

I've run with the Toyos tr1s for years on a V rating and checked with insurance as I was concerned..... They were fine with it but as usual I always make a quick call for piece if mind. Tyres are fantastic value and all round performance .

I concurr with this entirely. There are no problems with any of the insurance companies I have been with regarding V rated 15" front tyres, be honest with yourself are you going to be going over 149MPH consistently? I would go with Toyo TR1's. Would not touch Bridgestone again as they went like rock on the front, found the Toyos a transformation. Regards, Pete
