It catches on low kerb's and gives TET a nice little retirement fund ?

Mines missing too.

I would imagine the purpose is to prevent some of the airflow from passing underneath the car, the intention being to reduce lift at speed. How effective it is - who knows without a wind tunnel. My car came without one, and I soon put one on. Yes, it has got clobbered a couple of times, but easily repaired.

Got mine from TET Moulding Blackpool

I think I read in the Wedge Bible that it really works over 100mph

Having said that mine always feels very sure footed

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies,
From the pic it seems to be back at the fromt of the wheel arch and at the front of the airdam in the middle, so does it cover between the underside of the airdam to the front crossbar of the chassis?
I might make one as I think postage will be huge so more pics would be great...showing the profile and a plan view if anyone has a chance to take a photo of one off the car.
Cheers

Hi Adam,

The photo shows virtually all of the diffuser.
There is nothing to the rear of the curved part. ie there is a large gap in the centre between the rear of the diffuser and the chassis. The only "flat" part is in front of the curved part of the diffuser towards the sides - which you can see in the photo.
Note the photo shows the diffuser (on my car) fastened by self tapping screws. This allows easy removal for diffuser maintenance, and access to lights/wiring etc. For the screws to grip securely you need to fibreglass small metal reinforcement plates on the upper side. (I used bits of stainless steel sheet).
I believe the original fastening method was pop-rivets.

Could you please post a pic looking side on at the deffuser at the wheel arch and one again side on of the profile in the centre perhaps with a ruler so I can get the height.
Many thanks in advance.

There is one on my 400SX too. If your mate is over he could take a mould. If it's sawn up it would fit in a suitcase...

Also any more detailed photos or measurements wouldn't be a problem.

The difuser on my 400 is fitted on top of the body work. On Chappers it is fitted from behind it. What is the norm for this? It looks like I have had a replacement one at some point, the TNT Courier label was still on it!

Ok, cheers Adam.
Well any pics would be great and any measurements you think I'll need. My mate has a packed trip and is in Brighton.
He couldn't fit the mould in but I have another plan to get it to you.......

Couldn't fit the mould in? He should have thought "out of the airbox"!!! ;^)

Stuff the mould with all his shreddies and socks, then put it in the case.
