The type64 has to be worth the journey alone but where else outside of the Porsche Museum (whom I presume loaned the cars) will you see a collection like that?

I'm sure you've heard of it or perhaps have it already but if the stories in the videos interest you I can thoroughly recommend Karl Ludvigsen's Origin Of The Species book that tells the story of the early days based around Jerry Seinfeld's gmund coupe #40. Absolutely fascinating stuff;

Agreed!. I have a first edition of Origin of the Species and also one of Genesis of Genius , the Ludvigsen bio of Ferdinand Porsche, which is a beautiful book.. Ludvigsen is a superb writer. The other useful book for reference is Barth's The Porsche Book..three volumes with details of every model.

aye the other half got me my first edition for xmas, it's an absorbing read. i'll have to get his bio of ferdinand though-i have looked out for a first edition in the past but i haven't managed to get my hands on one yet. off for a trawl of the web.......
