Although as per the report on the steering feel on the new 991 GT3 as per Chris Harris review, things look promising.

More interested in the suspension changes than straight line speed, it will need a much better suspension than current to trump the mp4 !

It won't trump the MP4, they're in fundamentally different markets so it doesn't have to.

So was the last one 0-60 2.7. 0-100 6.4.
It's round the ring where the new one is 2 secs quicker than a MP4/458..

Horses for courses, I've had several Porsches and Turbo is only one that does it for me so far (until I can afford a 997.2 GT3).

They are blown....but definitely don't "suck"

Yes the 2 second club was the 997.2 Turbo S hence my guess work around what they would test the new one at.
