Just scanned the classifieds for the S Series cars for sale, looks like we have a full house of models for sale .. S1,S2,S3,S4,and V8'S... 14 in total..
I don't think i've seen that many for sale for a while..thats with out trawling all the other places , ebay , auto trader etc...
What a choice for a buyer, decisions would be hard to make..Take your pick..

Even other models there's quite a few for sale.....Im.Tempted..again.

There was a recent post to say there were 17 Sagaris up for sale at the moment. Maybe the news about Les Edgar buying TVR is filtering through to a perceived renewed interest in the whole range, so anyone thinking of selling is getting in now?
.
ETA a few long words to make the post seem intelligent..! tongue out

You might be right with that summary Mike ! Not so long back there was hardly any S's for sale in the classifieds.

I wonder whether it's just seasonality ? Sellers know prices are firmer in the summer, and there are more buyers when the sun shines.....

When I started looking about 3 mths ago there was only half a dozen or so if you trawled all the sites.
There seems to be a massive difference in personal valuations at the moment though, I think some will hang around a while.
BTW I pick mine up on Sunday, just hoping for some nice weather!

I don't check the classifieds that often but, regardless of the time of year, that's the longest list of S Series cars for sale I've seen for ages. And, more importantly, the prices (at last) seem to be heading in the right direction smile

Did anyone see the '87 S on Fleabay that went for over 5 grand? Prices are pretty stable for good quality cars by the looks of it.

I saw that one, it was very smart, and also the one the guy found in the garage of a house he was looking to buy, but had the car instead, and then decided to sell on, made over £3k and it needed tidying and a few issues to sort.
Hope Colin gets a good one, just in time for the summer to blossom again after all the rain.

Prices do seem to be all over the place.

I've been keeping an eye out for an S for a little while. I need something to replace a 911 which I recently sold to a friend. Couldn't justify keeping it as a third car which was only seeing a couple of hundred miles a year use! But now it's gone there's a hole that I think could be filled with an S and at the same time scratch the TVR itch.

There are now 10 on the classifieds, 3 or 4 have gone in the last few days, I wonder whether they've sold or been removed from sale.

I know condition varies massively on these cars but there is certainly a lot of variation in pricing.

There are a few interesting private sales in the classifieds between £4 and £5k.

There are also a few advertised elsewhere that look good value, like this one that's advertised on Car and Classic. It's just had the outriggers done and is at a dealer for £3,995 http://www.allsportscars.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=1019

I'm trying to get in at no more than £5k so it's out for me but my personal favourite is http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t... mainly because it's the perfect colour combo (in my mind at leastlick)

Good luck with your search - I had a 911 - and I enjoy my S so much more. It's rewarding to drive, fun to tinker with and everyone is pleased to see you !
