Odd one at the weekend; was pootling along in a restricted speed area at 40mph on cruise. Hit a small incline and engine had a little hiccough. On the panel in the centre of the speedo it flashed up "SPEEDTRONIC failed" then the traction control symbol and "OFF" which repeated. Car was in a serious limp-home mode with no reaction to throttle input and would do 30mph max it was slowing down up the incline and at one point I thought it wouldn't make it to the top. Pulled in almost immediately at a convenient lay-by and switched off the engine. Waited a minute or so and it fired up again (good sign) but the engine fault lamp was lit (bad sign). There didn't seem to be any sign of an power restriction so I pulled out onto the carriageway and continued driving normally. Gently pushed the car and it felt fine. After a couple more engine stops and starts the engine fault lamp turned itself off. No other issues with the car since. I can only assume it logged a fault with a sensor (probably wheelspeed since its affect on cruise control and traction control or maybe a brake actuator) which it managed to clear after a period of error free operation. Had me worried for a bit!

TC on these cars are pretty strong as far as im aware and at the mileage you've got id not be worried (unless its a drag strip car). Probably just had a blip and took a few minutes to right itself. If your worried about it have the codes read.
