Car will be getting looked at asap. As for more details...everything was sound until i put my foot down in 2nd gear and the car shuddered as if the rev limiter had kicked in but was only at about 6k revs. Next time i came to lights the engine cut out and did so everytime until i got the car home sharpish. Oil level okay, all dash dials read okay. When the car cuts out all the indicators light up on the dash until i restart. Not sure what else i can tell you other than that. Thanks.

Well, I asked for detail and I got it.

Could be fuel supply, or plugs/coils if they're past their change by date, bad gas, air filter, MAF, and so on. To eliminate these would require you get your hands dirty and that's ok. Working on a car at this level is not for everyone.

So, get the car looked at by a pro ASAP. That's the best course of action at this point.

Had a diagnostic on the car and it flagged up a faulty MAF sensor. Disconnected the sensor as a check and the car run idled without stalling so a new sensor at £180 a pop it is!
