As it says on the tin, is there any way I can identify the exact model of my Jazz bass by the serial number?

It looks like an American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass but it's got a Badass II bridge.

I added the Bartollini pickups and J Retro pre-amp about 10 years ago but the bridge has always thrown me.

All I can fathom from the serial number is that the bass is a USA model Jazz Bass and it was made in 2000 / 2001 (Z0 prefix).

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

PS. Here's a pic...

Z0 = 2000. Beyond that, you'd need to look at Fender's website to see what variants were produced that year.

My first bass was a cheap Jazz copy and I've always loved them. I still prefer the narrow neck profile from them and my Chicago Series Washburn is not far off.
