Simon Clark just took me out in his awesome Superlight R this afternoon.

Fk me sideways with a battlecruiser - those things are just insane Never in my life have I been in anything so fing raw, neck-snappingly, brutal in speed acelleration and braking.

You Caterham boys n girls are completely hat-stand!

P.S. is it normal to not be able to stop laughing and saying "fk me!" 3 hours after losing your Superlight R cherry?

I recently got a ride in a 'mere' roadsport, and know just how you feel.
Even the 1600 has a power:weight ratio in Porsche territory, so Lord knows what the Superlight R feels like

That was all the usually eloquent Derestrictor could utter for some time after I had demonstrated the dynamic capabilities of a Superlight R.

Pretty much everyone that samples the experience ends up buying one: I did and Derestrictor placed an order within minutes of stepping out, so you're doomed I'm afraid.

it really DOES happen that way

we were on the final day of our honeymoon, on Branda Hatch F-1 circuit. we kept oertaking a Skyline GT-R on all the fun twisty bits.

took the GT-R owner out for a ride of a few laps whilst the tyres were still hotter than @#$%

he now has a R500 as he was stunned that curves he could do 30-50 through we do at 70-90

i suspect had he been with us on a Targa-Liege rallye he'd need new pants
