I worked in this industry (In the edinburgh area) for 20 years from YTS to Senior Consultant. I worked for a couple of small "Ted in his shed" type companies to major multinational companies. In my opinion, Chubb Electronic Security offered the most reasonable deals and best customer service.
Its not always wisest to plump for the cheapest quote as the companies are more than likely not quoting "like for like".
Alarm systems are not a vanity purchase so a lot of people opt for a "that'll do" system as opposed to one designed round them, their actual security needs based on a proper risk assessment and their lifestyle.
