Best commute from central London to Canary Wharf?

Looks like something might be brewing for me that way...

My usual commute is get into London Euston and then catch tube for around 20mins and arrive at work...

Which is the best station to arrive at for a daily commute into Wharf?

I have heard horror stories about getting to Wharf. I live in Leighton Buzzard/Milton Keynes..

From Liverpool St. I'd walk to Monument/Bank and get the DLR to Canary Wharf. Reliable and takes 10 mins.

You are correct. Yes Euston...I have edited my Original post.

I had to venture to Appold today hence I have Liverpool on the brain!

Been working in London for a year now. I am nowhere near as clued up as most when it comes to directions or transport.

Never ventured towards Canary Wharf.

If you're coming into Euston on the train then I'd imagine the easiest way is Victoria line to Green Park and then Jubilee line to Canary Wharf.

If you are coming in to Euston then take the Circle line via Liverpool St to Tower Hill. Then pick up the DLR from there, well across the road at Tower Gateway!

Alternatively as said walk to Bank from Liverpool St.

Currently there are 2 main ways to get to CW, Jubilee Line and DLR. Crossrail will be a third, but I'm not sure when that opens. There's also the riverboat, but that's not really an everyday option.

Euston isn't really the best station to come into, so if at all possible, I'd look to be changing that.

Then you need to look at what time you'll be coming in. If you're getting to the office for 8:30 / 9:00am, then you really want to avoid having to try and get on a Jubilee line train at London Bridge or Waterloo. If you're in the office before 8:00am, then you don't really need to worry about that.

Then you need to look at all the lines that serve Euston (or somewhere easy walking from Euston, e.g. Euston Square) and see where they intersect with the Jubilee Line or the DLR - or where one of these two is a short walk away.

Then you need to figure out the walking distances to the platforms, and the walking distances between the platforms at the changes.

Personally, I'd go for the get in early option, and get the Northern line south to London Bridge, then it's 3 stops on the Jubilee from there.
