Interesting stuff!

I too chatted to the Evans guys, both at the NEC Classic and Autosport in January.
Good to hear of a 'valid' road test with this product, sort of real life conditions!

IIRC one of the TVR garages in the NW (?) are suppliers of Evans.

Seems to always be mixed tales of this.

Sure, if you're having issues with boiling it might save you some trouble. But with increased viscosity and only 80% of the heat capacity of water, all I can see are higher cylinder temps and increased knock.

This is where I have a problem as well.

The fluids ability to exceed 100 degrees without boiling is promoted as a positive however this concerns me as that means that if there is an issue then the engine and components can be subjected to higher temperatures than intended?

Surely that can't be good for engine and component life?

My biggest concern would be grossly high oil temps, not an issue on newer fully synthetic motorsport oils, but I'm not sure if that's what a lot of the classic guys are running?

Interestingly, in this months Octane, Jay Leno is extolling the virtues of waterless coolant. Apparently he puts it in every car in his collection and they all run in the Californian heat. He says he's had it in his Bugatti Type 37 for 15years.
