Low miles, allegedly 'proper' spec, but yours for less than £38k., £35 ish with a haggle?
All the Spyders on the AUC list are quite low compared to a few months ago.
I guess anything without A/C isn't selling at the moment.....

I thought they had been around 37-38k for a while now for the right spec. Didn't think they had popped into the 40s again?
They are never going to rocket up, but they have certainly been steady for a while with the 981 not really doing too much to lower them.
I'm just enjoying it, going to keep it a while anyway and if they creep up in the future it will be a bonus.

The 4 for sale are not that interesting.
Still a future classic , just takes another 15 years.
Nothing drives like it, and not much is as light as it.
They have a old school driver car appeal , but in a new car.,
That will be the factor which will make them sort after.

Nah, we've been following them closely on PCGB Spyder thread which has nearly reached 50k hits now!!!
Worst case scenario there is that the car maintains over 70% after 3 years which is about as good as it gets these days. The cars for sale at OPCs are nothing special spec wise currently.
Who cares, Spyder is potentially the last manual sports car Porsche made...

Saw my first Boxster Spyder in the flesh yesterday - can't feel the love I am afraid. Looks like it is trying too hard to me, and I would need dark glasses and the roof up before driving it down my local High St.
If I was in the market for a Boxster, it would have to be the latest model - best variant so far by some margin (at least looks wise).

Don't get the trying too hard bit though? Was it standard or have aftermarket stuff on it?

Just replaced my 3rd Spyder with a 2010 Elise SC, comparable performance but lighter and a better driving experience in my opinion. They have a old school driver car appeal , but in a new car.,

Just bought my first Spyder a couple weeks ago... wasn't expecting that much from it to be honest, but loved the styling and rare'ity.
However... Its is a fantastic car to drive... very old school as mentioned above. a proper driving car. I am actually enjoying driving this more than my previous F430 Spider... Now that can't be bad, can it!

Better is subjective, different I would say , not better :-) I would take a massive guess and say your 3 Spyders were stock ?Most owner's own heavy weight Spyders lol and ones with a standard geo, but sorry like most new cars out the factory, that's not the best way to enjoy them.
A few very minor tweeks to geo, tyres, brakes makes it one of todays best mid engine drivers cars imho of course :-)
Having just done a Lotus only Track day at Donny with LOT and 40 Elise's, the Spyder is a mighty thing and imo the next step up in performance.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Elise SC car and imo it's the pick of the Lotus line up, and one I would def own if the Spyder had not been made and of course a lot cheaper to own and run.
And if I were tracking more often the Lotus WOULD be the car for me.
It's nice to have a change though and after owning 2 Lotus cars I felt they did not offer me enough change with what they have to offer atm, they seem a bit stuck in the mud on there cars time line atm. But I love my 5 years with Lotus cars back in the day.

Not sure if it was standard, it was white with gloss black wheels and graphics on the side. Older guy driving and the whole package looked a bit...... well, as Clarkson is for ever pointing out, it's hard for middle aged men to look cool in any convertible other than a classicDon't get the trying too hard bit though? What kind of tweeks Mr D? I think it's time I got my geo looked at - hasn't been since new, as far as I know 
just a bit more front neg camber and no front toe in at all, along with ditching the outdated N spec tyres.I have also fitted 7mm front spacers to help turn in. the cars night and day better ;-)
