Honestly...I have all kinds and colours of tie wraps keeping former wedges held together in the past.

Wildrover (Sandy) always carries an array of them and I tend to use the most...haha

So far touch wood...None on this one YET....LOL

Is your AFM missing the adaptor plate there?

Rob, the adapter plate is still there, the afm is held on by not only the cable ties but a very thin tool that I used between the afm and the plate (this was screwed on though) biggrin Quality engineering I'm sure you'll agree biggrin

Cable ties and WD40 - the universal fixup tools.

Sooo many 'extras' held on (or together) with ties

I've even seen a motorbike with the end of its exhaust held on with ties - amazed they didn't melt.

Not seen an engine held in with them yet, but I've still got time.....I HAVE seen an engine mount generously wrapped in ties as a 'temp fixup' (Yeah, Right)

Things you must have in the boot, got them all. I also have silicon tape a worthwhile addition.

I was always taught...

If it moves and it shouldn't.......Gaffa Tape **

If it doesn't move and it should ....WD40

can't go far wrong with that IMHO.

** The PROPER UK Gaffa tape not that USA Duct-Tape rubbish! (sorry to our American readers...you can buy "Duct-Tape" in Poundland, REAL Gaffa tape is only availiable at places that sell DJ kit and the like.) I've even managed to get a (speaker) cable taped to wet grass and it stayed there with cars driving over it all day long!

Edit....

Here's one way of telling....if you leave a real of tape on its side on a table for about an hour and try to pick it up you can almost lift the table with the bond from just the edges of the tape!
