My poor car was outside, shut up, roof on, in the same torrential downpour that caught dear Daz without his wellies.

Got in this evening, started first time, perfect idle, set off down the road.
First left and right bends I got about a quarter of a pint of cold water deposited on each ankle.
Any thoughts:
A) where it got in and
B) where it was lurking waiting to pounce?

No it wasn't that funny........
Yes, my jeans are still wet half way to both knees two hours later

The first thing to check is the adhesion of the rubber seal around the lower edge of the windscreen.

If water gets in there, it can accumulate in the plastic surround of the steering column and once you're on the move it'll slosh out.

I can feel a perished or chewed piece of rubber gaiter wrapped around what I take to be a heater pipe, next to the steering column and close to the elephant hose that supples air to the face vent drivers side. Any thoughts what that is? I will get a proper look tomorrow.
