After a moment of nostalgia remembering the old Red/Blue/Yellow on the GameBoy Colour, me cousin's let me borrow his White game.

Anyway, is it possible to acquire the old charmander, squirtle etc?

Please humour me, I know they're children's games...

Grammar edit.

Never played White, but I'll assume it's like the rest in that you can only secure them through trade.

As a side point, if you have an android phone, you can download an app called 'My Boy!' that lets you play Gameboy games on your phone. There are plenty of guides on how to install games and where to get them.

I have lost many hours playing Pokemon Fire Red whenever I have 10 minutes free...

Oh. Still, it's nice to know it's possible. Guess I'll just have to get used to the vaguely charmander like green starting one.

And my phone is an extremely basic Nokia that was old last decade...

I can't help but wonder if when Prof. Juniper put the little Snivy in the box it wondered on it's future, that one day the fate of the world it knew would be in it's leaf shaped appendages. That's one thing that's changed for the better, is the immersion, it feels more real than the old games did.

Also, I've found that there's various emulators to run the old games on PC, so I've now gone back to Pokémon Red with my new charmander. Who I've named after a dragon in Skyrim, but no matter...
