I'm a recent recruit to the Boxster clan having purchased a 2.7. However, I'm somewhat baffled as to how to operate the CDR 220 installed within as there is no mention of it in the supplied manual. Can anyone out there provide some simple instructions to get me going until I'm able to get hold of the relevent manual from Porsche?!! Cheers!

I only have experience of the CDR23, not sure how similar this is to the 220.

Identical except for using the MOST system.

Here's what I know (since I don't really care about the stereo).

Button on the left switches it on and off. Twirl same button and volume goes up and down. Button on the right goes forward a track backwards a track when you twirl it. It you press the button on the right and then twirl it you adjust the Bass. Press it twice and twirl it you adjust the treble.

I haven't a clue how to operate the radio as I just don't care. Shove a CD in and enjoy!

Better yet. Switch it off, press your right foot hard down and listen to the music!

Thanks for your replies! It sounds like your CD/Radios are different to the one installed in my car. There's a line of small buttons along the top of the unit which have obscure looking icons. How do you access the CD slot with this unit? Does the fascia pull/hinge down? Is there a button to release it?
I've managed to fire up the radio but like you I don't find the noises emanating from the speakers particularly inspiring! Cheers!

Button on far right opens unit to access cd player. It has a kind of circular arrow on it.

Button on the far left allows you to access the profiles, base, fade etc. (has a note symbol on it)

Button in the middle marked "S" allows you to switch between radio and CD. When in radio mode you can switch stations using the numbers or turning the right hand knob.

In CD mode the right hand knob moves tracks......can't really remember much more!!

Thanks Mr (Ms?) Irish, that's a great help! I can now indulge in some of my favorite sounds if I get bored of the sound of that flat six!

And if it says CDC when you press S, you have a changer in the front boot... or bonnet!
