Hi
I have a rather odd water leak? When engine is at temperature I can see no leak and swirl pot level seems ok. However the last couple of mornings after taking the cover off there is a very small puddle of water under the radiator on the body. Cant see any obvious leaks or water trails.... I have done approximately 1000 miles over the last couple of weeks with no overheating problems Appreciate any thoughts
Mark

Have you got silicone hoses ?
If they've been fitted relatively recently they might need a pinch up.

Sounds daft but check your screen washer bottle. Mine leaks and water from it ran across to passenger side before dripping on the floor. I had blue screen wash in at the time so thought it was coolant. Chucked some red dye in the screen wash bottle and hey presto red puddle :-)

Is it a pre-serp or serpentine? The later serpentine cars have an expansion vessel separate to the swirl pot and can dump coolant out of the cap if it has been overfilled. The cars tend to find their own level. Any more than an inch or two in the expansion tank on mine and it dumps it and makes it look as though the rad is leaking.

Radweld/barrs leaks etc, it may work initially, but I have found to my cost it later clogs up the rad. M62 in a white out no heater, cold and grumpy girlfriend, overheating engine, changing a rad from a scrapper stays long in the memory.
