There's a Need for Speed or Test Drive movie coming out sometime soon, pretty sure someone posted a link to the mini-trailer in the TV & Movies section. If they can turn that franchise into a movie then I'm sure GT can be, although I suspect that maybe a GT movie will be a bit more serious than the other one could be.

I'm reasonably sure even the cynically thrown together 3D popcorn nonsense needs a story, not exactly a GT strong suit. Maybe it'll be a 24 hour long boring concept film about watching someone else called Bob playing a driving game.
Still they made a film based on Battleship and that's a film that can hold it's head high in the world of Game based Films along with Mario Bros, Doom and Mortal KKombat....

There will be multiple sequels, all of which are the same, but with more Nissan Skylines as they progress.
The car chases will be somewhat limited because of the lack of damage and the fact the cars "bounce" off each other.
Each DVD release will gave a more confusing and non-user friendly menu because that is how the director thinks it should be.
They will only work on Sony DVD players.
The Forza movies won't be as realistic, but will look better and be more fun.
