Thursday the beast is going in for some work;

High Flow filters, resonator delete, map and limiter delete.

I'm pretty excited, has anybody here done this work with CKS?

Power claims seem pretty steep, 530bhp.

The only part I've not at this stage opted for is the X pipe, would you do this too ?

Cheers Gavin

Thats high claims for what they are doing. Who are they? Are they reputed in the merc tuning fold? Personally ive never heard of them but that means nothing.

These are the guys,

www.cksperformance.com

I contacted them just for exhaust work to increase the mid range noise to match the Drama of start up and full throttle.

They work with an American firm 'Eurocharge performance' who upload the map to the car 'live'. The ECU tuning element is £838 and that apparently upgrades power to 540 bhp and 494 lb ft Torque.

If this is achieved it seems like fantastic value ??

Have a read on www.MBClub.co.uk you'll find plenty of info on there.

You've just missed a Eurocharged Tuning Day last Saturday, the C63 that was remapped there produced a very healthy 536bhp, but he also had carbon intakes. Read the Eurocharged / MSL Tuning thread, on page 1 you can see the modification options and costs. Might be worth shopping around before committing.

Jules.

That's impressive gains from a NA engine if true, do let us know how it goes.

Hi
My car was remapped by dms and I'm very impressed with it, but I have got the cks x pipe which gives a harsher sound much louder on start up but very good going through the hindhead tunnel no drone etc
Just be warned when it comes it is of very poor construction
It isn't bent at all just lots of small bits welded together
In fact my local garage who welded it in thought I had made it myself!!!
It is a weld fit with no sleeves and as I said appears like it should be sold in pound stretcher
Just my opinion.....
