Amazing as the mighty fin is, I think this is the most laughable piece of journalistic claptrap I've ever read. What worries me is whether this amount of 'flex' is applied to writing about any technical/specialist subject.

Tornado pilot told the Airprox Board that "he bunted and passed 100ft below". In slight fairness, most of the top google results for 'bunt' basically describe an outside loop.

That said any semi-literate reader of the Airprox Board report would've clearly understood that one aircraft simply passed beneath the other though prompt changes in attitude by both pilots.

And that at 250 feet altitude, you have to make a tighter than 125 radius turn to avoid hitting the ground, which at even only a couple of hundred knots is going to be somewhat difficult!
