This evening, everything lined up perfectly....
My wife is away with the kids visiting her dad, I was working from home, the weather is glorious, and my normal 5pm conference call got cancelled, so off I trundled to some of the most glorious riding in the country....
I parked up behind the pub in Peaslake (for those who know it), and pedaled off up to the top of Holmbury Hill. A mile and a half or so of climbing.... 200 yards onto the first bit of lovely downhill singletrack and...
SNAP!!!!
My gravity dropper seatpost snapped off just below the saddle clamp.
It could've been worse, of course. I could've landed on the jagged top of the seatpost, for example! Nevertheless, I am bloody gutted just at the moment!
I've also got no idea how BMX kids manage to pedal around for so long standing up! Major calf workout on the way down.
Anyone know if there's a Gravity Dropper service centre in the UK?

Nope....
I won't be doing that....
I emailed Gravity Dropper to ask them if there was somewhere in the UK that I could spares or a repair, and despite having told them I've had the post for years, they emailed me back within 15 minutes apologising profusely for the failure, and telling me that if I return it to them, they'll repair it under warranty!
What sort of amazing service is that??? They also do a complete overhaul of the rest of the product for the princely sum of $18!
Suffice to say, I will certainly be sticking with them, and will happily recommend them to anyone else as well!
