So, tonight we dined out in the restaurant at The Ivy House in Chalfont St Giles and what a great meal we had.

The food was perfect. All 5 of us enjoyed excellent starters, mains, deserts and good wine.

They also have a fantastic car park there that really should be used for some PH drives/meets as lots of parking and good food/drink are always a good mix smile

It's just been taken over (a matter of weeks ago) and they've really done a number on the place. It's lovely inside, the staff are warm and welcoming and the chef certainly knows his way around a kitchen (and a steak!).

Definitely worth a special trip for the food.

Having chatted with the guys running it and with a bit of local knowledge, it used to be a skanky place with a drug problem, but they've really done a number in turning it into a destination pub.

Definitely worth a visit thumbup
